Supporting Success for Sussex

The Hawes team are excited to be sponsoring Design Brighton, the innovative local movement with a vision to create a leading design week, focused on the city’s rich built environment and promoting Brighton’s global reputation as a city that has design and diversity at its core.

Design Brighton aims to light a beacon to attract investment, visitors and students to the unique offering of Brighton and the greater region. Also aiming to inspire young people to explore and seek out opportunities within design and producer’s industries and engage them to stay in the city after qualification. The festival intends to encourage diversity, drive greater sustainability within a circular economic model and provide a platform to support national government initiatives at a local level.

In attendance at the official launch party at the i360 in Brighton last month, Hawes Managing Director, Bruce Hawes, is delighted to be supporting the movement;

As a local Contractor and resident of the area, I just had to get involved with this initiative. It is so important for us to celebrate the special style of this city, and come together to continue the legacy of this unique built environment by encouraging outside interest and exciting the next generation of build professionals.
