Thinking Back, Looking Forwards

As we prepare our sites and ourselves for the festive break, we think about the year we’ve had and the one to look forward to.

Hawes Building Notable Projects of 2018

  • British Gypsum Mine in Brightling – constructing new welfare facilities approximately 200 metres underground
  • The Littlehampton Cycle Path – carrying out crucial concrete cutting works
  • Sussex University – new student accommodation construction
  • Environment Agency Clays Lake – constructing the reservoir/water management system operations building

Hawes Highlights of the Year

This year we won 2 industry awards, were nominated for 3 more, and we built up a team of highly effective people around us who are enabling us to grow. What a successful 2018 we’ve had!

Biggest Challenge of 2018

Payment chasing was probably our biggest challenge of the year, having to initiate legal proceedings in order to secure payments due. We have used this as a learning curve for the business and will utilise lessons learned for the future.

Looking Forward To Next Year

Next year we are excited to be continuing to diversify our clientele list and range of projects we will undertake, to increase our turnover. We also look forward to continuing the growth of our Social housing sector delivery.

Hawes would like to wish all our clients and connections a very merry Christmas, and a successful 2019.

– Sarra Hawes, Director
