Four Years in the Chair!

For the past four years, Sarra Hawes MCIOB has been chairing the Constructing Excellence Sussex Club with a down-to-earth, people-first approach that’s made a real difference to the construction industry in Sussex.

During her time as Chairperson, she’s helped build a strong, connected community bringing people together, encouraging fresh ideas, and keeping the focus on doing things better. From monthly events to industry discussions, her influence has been felt throughout the Club.

What makes this even more impressive is that Sarra has balanced this role alongside her work as Co-Director/Owner of Hawes Construction Group. Juggling both responsibilities, she’s continued to show genuine passion, energy, and commitment.

Four years on, her impact is clear, not just in the Club’s membership growth, but in the stronger sense of collaboration she’s helped create.
