The Brief
Our brief was to refurbish the caretakers lodge after a fire had almost destroyed the Grade 2 Listed building at Claremont Prep School in January 2023
Our Solution
- We arranged for scaffolding to be erected around the chimney and damaged roof areas
- We then carefully removed all damaged roof timbers and carried out repairs to chimney and gable wall
- The roof was repaired so we could then start work on repairs to the windows and doors
- Our team prepared and decorated all external surfaces
- Internal works included plastering, M&E, flooring, tiling in kitchen and bathroom and redecorating works throughout the property
- New glazing and windows were installed where needed
The Result
The end result is a fully refurbished home that has been meticulously restored inside and out, returning the property to its former character and charm after the devastating fire. Every aspect of the building has been carefully repaired, renewed, and revitalised to create a high‑quality finish that feels entirely new while honouring the original structure.
